John Zeus Tokatlidis is a seasoned professional specializing in travel consulting and travel marketing. He earned degrees in Political Science and History from the University of Toronto, as well as a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Ryerson University. John started his career as a part-time travel consultant, quickly advancing to a full-time role after graduation. His career includes management positions at notable companies like Starbucks, Freshii, and Holiday Inn Hotels. As a Learning Management System (LMS) consultant and National Wiki Platform Manager for YMCA Canada, he improved the digital presence of 22 YMCA organizations and enhanced staff training programs nationwide. In 2015, John returned to the travel industry as the Director of Marketing and Communications at Total Advantage Travel & Tours, Inc. He significantly improved the company's online visibility through effective marketing strategies that increased client engagement and referrals. He also mentors new travel consultants, guiding them in creating a robust digital presence and offering legendary customer service to their travellers. Following his diagnosis of stage 4 follicular lymphoma in 2019, John became an advocate for marginalized communities, volunteering with the Canadian Cancer Society. His involvement in Daffodil campaigns and media outreach underscores his commitment to equitable treatment.
